The foundation

One teaching.
Three sources.

The Wishing Well is built on a principle that appears in ancient scripture, in a 20th-century mystic's lectures, and in a modern channeled teaching. Not because we searched for agreement — because the same truth keeps surfacing across centuries and traditions.

What you hold inwardly as already done will become outwardly so. The inner state precedes the outer fact. Not as a hope. Not as a wish. As a settled, quiet possession.

The scripture

Five passages from the Bible, each pointing to the same mechanism: the inner state of completion must precede — not follow — the outer evidence.

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is not wishing harder. It is an inward substance — something felt as real before it is visible. The fulfilled state must feel like fact, not wish.

Mark 11:24

What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Not believe that you will receive. Believe that you do. The receipt is assumed inwardly before any outer confirmation arrives.

Romans 4:17

…calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Speak from the fulfilled state, not from present conditions. The desired reality is felt and addressed as already done, not as pending.

Joel 3:10

Let the weak say, I am strong.

Identity is declared from the desired state, not from the present one. This is not denial — it is the instruction to inhabit the end rather than report the current condition.

Proverbs 23:7

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

The inner state is not a reflection of the outer world. The outer world is a reflection of the inner state. The cause is always inside.

The mystic

Neville Goddard

1905–1972 · Barbados-born mystic and lecturer · Law of Assumption

Neville taught one principle across four decades of lectures: the world is a mirror of consciousness. What you assume to be true about yourself and your life hardens, in time, into external fact.

The technique — visualization, scripting, living in the end — was never the point. Every technique is just a door into the same room: the state of the wish fulfilled. Once you are in that state, the method you used to get there is irrelevant. It is the state that creates.

“Assume it is fulfilled now. Already done. That’s it. That is the law. Not a technique, not a method. The law itself. Your consciousness is the creative force. And all you have to do is assume your desire is fulfilled — not hope it will be, not work toward it being — assume it is, now.”

One subtlety that most miss: the fulfilled state is not ecstasy. It is not the feeling of getting something. It is the feeling of having something — which is quieter, more settled, more ordinary. When you already possess something, you do not feel a rush about it. You feel relief. Certainty. A relaxed, unremarkable knowing.

“When you have something, it is not a feeling of constant ecstasy. It is more like a feeling of release and relief. A certainty and a conviction — not blissed out, but relaxed: oh, I already have it. A very relaxed, peaceful, certain, calm type of feeling.”

This is also why the practice is somatic — not just mental. The mind can recite an assumption. The body takes longer to believe it. The remembrance scene is designed to let the body settle into the state, not just the mind to declare it.

The channeled teacher

Bashar

Channeled by Darryl Anka · The 4 Laws of Creation

Bashar teaches four fundamental laws of how reality is created. The fourth is the one most directly relevant here.

The 4th Law of Creation

What you put out is what you get back.

The Universe is a Mirror reflecting back to you the state of being that you hold. The universe doesn’t have a mind of its own. You are loved unconditionally, which means what you say about your reality goes. If you say, feel, believe that life is hard, the universe will reflect this reality back to you. If you say, feel, believe, define that life is treating you wonderful, and all is well, the universe will reflect this reality back to you as well. The Universe is a mirror, impartial, unconditional.

“Circumstances don’t matter. It’s state of Being that matters.”

A state held persistently enough will eventually turn into matter. The circumstance you are in right now — whatever it looks like — is not the cause of your future. The state of being you maintain is. Hold the state of the fulfilled desire long enough, with enough conviction, and the outer world has no choice but to reorganize around it.

How The Wishing Well applies this

Most practices ask you to imagine the moment you receive what you want — the announcement, the arrival, the first instant of having it. That moment is still charged with getting. It still carries the energy of before-and-after. It is not yet the settled state.

The Wishing Well asks for something different. It asks you to remember a scene from a few weeks after — when the desire has normalized. When it has become ordinary. When you no longer think about it every day because it is simply part of your life.

That normalized, natural feeling — relief, quiet gratitude, the ease of possession — is exactly the state all three sources are pointing to. Not hoping. Not straining. Not celebrating. Just having. Already done.

The session writes that state into a first-person scene. You read it before sleep. The body, over time, begins to believe what the mind has been shown.

The state is the practice.

One session produces a scene written specifically for your desire, your setting, and your emotional register. Yours to read before sleep.
